Melissa's Bachelorette Weekend

Last Thursday, I went to Fort Smith to stay the night with Emilee. We had an interesting time! Ha ha Melissa's bachelorette party started on Friday and we were in charge of decorations and games. SO...we went to Spencers in the mall and bought some goodies for it! Ha ha including some pretty sweet cupcake molds! We went back to her apartment and started on our cupcake-baking project! Well, considering she doesn't live in her Fort Smith apartment most of the time, she just has the essentials in there. The essentials don't include measuring cups, mixing bowls, or the things you pull stuff out of the oven with. So, we just had to improvise! Lol we used a pot for our mixing bowl, a kool-aid pitcher for our measuring cup, and socks as our hot pad things to pull our cupcakes out of the oven lol


Even with our improvisations, the cupcakes turned out MARVELOUS!! Ha ha Anyway, on Friday, we headed back down the the Arkadelphia for the party. We went to Mary Jo's house and decorated and dropped off our LOVELY snacks :) That night we hung out at the house, played games and just had a lot of fun! Saturday morning, we all woke up pretty early, got ready and then headed to the lower dam to start floating the river. It took us SIX HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we were all a little on the crispy and sensitive side by the time we got back to the house! haha


That night, we made homemade pizzas and then me and Emilee headed to the house for the night. Saturday morning we woke up early, went back to Mary Jo's and had an AMAZING breakfast! Bacon, eggs, biscuits and cocoa gravy. It was absolutely amazing and was a GREAT way to end a really fun weekend! :)

The Sister That Stayed (:

Sunday morning, Erin, David and Mackenzie left Arkadelphia! :( I was sad to see them all leave but it's okay, I'll see them soon! :) Anyway, everyone had left by Sunday afternoon. Everyone except for Emilee that is! Ha Ha She decided she was going to stay until Monday morning, so, we decided to watch Twilight, New Moon and then go see Eclipse that evening. There was only one problem, I only owned New Moon! ha ha so, we decided to search Arkadelphia for Twilight. We spent over an hour driving through town looking for it!!! It wasn't at Wal-Mart, any RedBox, any of the Dollar Stores, or gas stations, NO WHERE!!!!!



Yes, this is what took basically all of the gas in Emilee's gas tank as well as basically our entire day! We went home and just watched New Moon and then headed to Hot Springs to see....



After we watched Eclipse, we stopped by Best Buy to try and get Twilight again...of course! ha ha Well, since we have the best luck, they locked the doors right when we got there. UGHHH! So, we decided to try the FYE store at the mall. We get there, and it closed like 15 minutes earlier! ha ha Everything worked out fine and we FINALLY found it at the Wal-Mart in Hot Springs. YAYY!!!!! So, we went home and watched it! :) Monday morning, Emilee was supposed to leave but her clients cancelled and she decided to stay one more night. We laid out at the pool for a while, ate some lunch, and then went to get our nails done with mom! :)



I got my fingernails and toenails the same color...pretty isn't it?! :)
After we got our nails done, we went to eat at DJ's drive-in then headed home. Emilee and I didn't know what to do for the rest of the evening.....ssssoooooo.......



We watched Twilight and New Moon again! ha ha It can be called a small obsession lol



Anyway, I had a TON of fun with my sister for her long stay here and I can't wait to see her again on Thursday! (&& yes Emilee, I am sucking up to you!) :D

Family Weekend! :)

Last weekend was a great weekend! :) On Friday, the whole family was in town. And yes, I do mean the whole, entire family. All 6 originals, plus the Dave and Mackenzie. Okay, I lied, the WHOLE family wasn't in town. Matt Cooley wasn't here but he's excused because of the Air Force. Ha ha. Anywho, it was a great weekend! we really didn't do a whole lot other than hang out at the house with eachother. We went swimming a little, watched some TV and played with the baybay.
I've actually figured out who Mackenzie's favorite person is in our family....



It's me :) We bonded so much over the past couple of weeks and she's really just latched on to me. I can't say that I blame her though :)
On Saturday, Erin, David and Mackenzie went to some family thing for David's side of the family and Mackenzie wore the CUTEST outfit that our Aunt Jenny and cousins got her when they went to Disney World earlier in the summer.

I decided that we never take pictures in this family so Erin and I got our picture taken while we were getting Mackenzie ready for the day! :)
The weekend was so much fun and was much needed! :)

Matt's Visit

On July 7, my boyfriend came to see me for 5 days! :) I was really really really excited about it because I haven't seen him since February! :( Anyway, I picked him up from the airport and then we went to the store to get him some stuff and he bought me some flowers! :)

On Thursday, we went to Benton and watched Grown Ups, which was really funny by the way! ha ha Then, on Friday, we hopped in the car and headed to Fayetteville to visit my sister! Matt and I have been dating for almost a year and a half now and he had yet to meet Erin and David. So, he got the great opportunity this time to meet not only them, but Mackenzie as well! Ha ha

They were really bonding! :)
On Saturday, we went to Eureka Springs. However, Eureka was superrrr busy and we could NOT find a parking spot anywhere so we decided not to deal with everyone and headed down to Little Rock. We walked around the River Market for a little while, drove around down town and then went to the Travelers baseball game.

On Sunday, we went to church and then rode the four wheeler around behind the house for a while. Unfortunately on Monday, I had to take him back to the airport :( At the airport, we took our 5th picture that we have taken together! ha ha

Overall, it was a GREAT weekend that was loooooooong overdue! :) Now I only have to wait until Labor Day weekend! :/

July Fourth

July fourth weekend was a very exciting weekend for the family! I know, I'm a little behind on the updates but give me a break, I'm still trying to get used to this thing! lol Anyway, Erin and Mackenzie came down to visit and we got a special treat! Mackenzie got to meet her two cousins, Clinton and baby Ella! I don't think they were quite as excited about it as we were! hahaOn the fourth, I went out on the lake with the Dewitts, my aunt Cheryl and uncle Brian, and some of the Dewitt's friends. It was a lot of fun! We went out on Dr. Dormans party barge and watched the firework show on DeGray Lake.
