behind schedule

I have been a little bit behind when it comes to updating this but here's a quick recap! Two weekends ago, my mom, Erin, Mackenzie and I went to Fort Smith to stay with Emilee for the weekend. Unfortunately, it was the weekend before finals week which meant that I got NO studying done what so ever! :/ But Emilee's little belly is growing and it is so cute! :) We just couldn't help but take some pictures with it!!
Finals week was an absolute heart attack! It was absolutely terrible but then again, isn't it always? Before my roommate left though, she gave me my Christmas present! I have always been a little bit sensitive about the fact that Pocahontas is almost never included as a Disney princess and she is never a popular character when it comes to buying things that have her on it. So, when my roommate was in San Antonio earlier this semester, she stopped by the Disney store and they had Pocahontas stuff!! So she was super sweet enough to get me a Pocahontas doll :) As well as a new journal! I was so excited about it all!!
This past Saturday, my mom and I met Erin in Malvern and traded Mackenzie! :) Saturday morning, Mackenzie and I woke up pretty early and just had the urge to bake some cake cookies so we decided to back some! :)
Sunday afternoon, Mackenzie just could not stay inside at all what so ever! So she went outside with papa for about 2 hours! It was so pretty out and she was having so much fun!!!

Monday afternoon when I got home from work, the sky was so pretty! :)
She is just so cute! :)

san diego

This past Tuesday evening, 6 of us seniors went to San Diego with my mom and Carol for the ASHA convention. We had so much fun! This was my first time to visit California and I really loved it! I would much rather be there than back in Arkansas! Ha ha I am not going to go in to too much detail about the trip because if I did, this post would be way longer than any of you would want to read! So here's just a few pictures! :)We did so many things while we were there! My favorite, was probably SeaWorld. I had never been to SeaWorld before and I would live there if I could! Ha ha
Our trip to San Diego was amazing! But I am happy to be at home and ready for Thanksgiving! :)

the weekend of battling over the ravine

Last weekend was Battle of the Ravine weekend and it was a wonderful weekend! We had so many family members that came in to town and we had so much fun! There were a bunch of family that stayed out at Terry and Charlottes house. Friday night, I headed out there with Lauren to hang out with the family and celebrate Aunt Dawna's birthday! It was a lot of fun!Uncle Brian, Charlotte, Anja & Clinton and then Aunt Dawna!
The majority of us!
Also for the weekend, we had a wonderful little visitor! Mackenzie was in town for the whole weekend and it was GREAT!!! Friday night was Rally on the Ravine and there was a military fly-over with A10's out of Fort Smith (which is where Matt will be when he is done flying). Mackenzie was really excited about the planes flying over!
Mike Kelly, a man from Arkadelphia, was inside the football field with us taking pictures of the planes. He got a few pictures of Mackenzie and I and he was nice enough to send them to us!
Saturday night after the football game, my parents and I headed out to the DeWitts with Mackenzie for dinner with the whole family plus the Talbert's (Anja's family). We had a lot of fun! This is my cousins daughter, Ella. Does she not have the most gorgeous blue eyes?

Mackenzie, Ella and Carrington playing! :)
It was so much fun getting to be with all of them family! It needs to happen a lot more often! :)

speechie halloween party

So I am a little behind on updating my blog and I apologize! Ha ha so now, I am about to get all caught up! The Tuesday before Halloween, the speechies all went out to Carol's house (Carol Morgan is our professor in case you don't know) and we had our own Halloween party! It was so much fun! We all dressed up and there were costumes for the best outfits and there were some really funny costumes! Sara, Chelsy and I dressed up as 80's workout girls and it was so much fun! I am guilty of still wearing my outfit on a regular basis b/c it is just too comfy! Sara, me and Chelsy. I must say that our boombox made the whole outfit!
Sara and I
Later that week, as you all know, my future husband, David Freese, and the rest of the Cardinals won the World Series! It was absolutely wonderful!!!! (:

halloween fun run

This next Thursday, October 27, 5 of the senior speechies and one athletic training major are hosting a Halloween Fun Run for our senior seminar project! We are so excited about it! It is a costumed 5K or 1 mile and it is to raise money for Children's Hospital and for the senior Speechies that are going to a conference in San Diego. One of our friends, Amy Vaughn, designed both our posters/flyers and our t-shirts! They're so cute! The t-shirts!
EVERYONE should come out next Thursday evening to participate! It's going to be so much fun! It's $20 to enter [which includes the race, free sweet tea from Chicken Express, and a t-shirt] OR buy just the t-shirt for $15! It's going to be a ton of fun!!! :)

homecoming

This past Saturday was OBU's homecoming! Chelsy, Leigha and I were in charge of the Speechie table at "OcTigerFest," which was for all of the OBU alumni that came back to campus and wanted to go see their old professors and classmates. We were so excited about getting to be in charge of it this year and we worked really hard on getting it all together!Chelsy and I made posters and stickers that said I [heart] CMDS. However, the stickers were slightly difficult to get the back part off. This is Chelsy and I working diligently on the stickers, trying to get them ready before everyone showed up!
Haley and I
Leigha, me and Chelsy (:
Chelsy, Leigha and me at our table that we made! (:
This is one of my favorite pictures from this weekend! This is Chelsy, Leigha, Haley and me, who are all senior speechies right now with Kelly and Jordan, who graduated this past year! It was so good to see them! We miss them!! :(
This is my sister and I! Right after OcTigerFest, we all went out to Matt's grandparents house to have the revealing of the gender of their baby! EMILEE IS HAVING A BOY!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited!!!! It is going to be the first boy in the Turner family in 52 years!!!!!!! ha ha
My cousin Molly Anne is on the dance team this year! She did so good at the pep rally! (:
Me, Emilee and Molly Anne
This is me, Emilee and her two friends who are basically in the family! (:

tiger tunes

This past Friday night, I went to tiger tunes with Beau and Pepp. It was so much fun! I was really really excited to see two of my friends that graduated this past May and have moved away! :( Jessie was late getting here so I didn't get a picture with her! But this is Morgan and I wearing the glasses that the Kappa's gave out as their "support pins." [They were nerds]It was so good to see Morgan! I miss her and Jessie so so much!!
This next picture is a cousin pictures! It's of Lauren, Anja and I right before the show started! Lauren is an EEE and their theme was "Outer Space." Lauren was an alien [as you can tell]. Their show was SO GOOD! And they ended up being the 2011 Tiger Tunes champions!!!! [first time in 10 years!]
This is a picture of Chelsy and I during intermission. Chelsy is one of my best friends as well as my neighbor! She is a Chi Delta and they were trucker drivers. Their show was SO GOOD! It was one of my favorites and I wish it had won more!
Unfortunately, those are the only pictures that I took of Tiger Tunes this year! :/

swamp people

Sunday, October 2 was just as eventful as October 1. Bright and early Sunday morning, my parents, brother and I loaded up in the car and headed to Stuttgart where Troy and Jacob Landry were doing a meet and greet at Mack's Prairie Wings.
Apparently, everyone else in the state of Arkansas had the same idea that we did because it was OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!

When we got there, my brother and I got in line to get a ticket to see Troy and Jacob. My ticket number was 1586!!!!!!!!! It was ridiculous!!!

pumpkin day

Saturday, October 1 was pumpkin day!! Sara, Michelle and I all woke up early and headed out to Manchester for a day of fall, kids, face painting and crafts! The three of us were in charge of face painting [which we did for 5 hours]. To be honest, we could all probably just drop out of school and take it up as a profession we were so good. (:
This is a picture of Cadie and I. Cadie is a little girl that I take care of at the church nursery. She came to pumpkin day and I got to paint her face! She is pretty tired when her mom took this picture so she's not really smiling! ha ha
Also at Pumpkin Day, was my sweet precious baby cousin Ella [Clinton's daughter]. Ella is so sweet and I love getting to see her! Mama Nan and I were probably a little bit ridiculous because we kept stealing her away and just kept taking pictures with her!
This is my roommate and I. We decided to be like the families that were getting their portraits taken! The shadows are a little weird and Sara's eyes are kinda neat looking but it's a cute picture! (:
This is a picture of Ella and I that my mom took of us! (:
6 hours of work at pumpkin day and it was a complete success! (:

charlie daniels band

Last night was the first night of the Legends Balloon Rally in Hot Springs. A few of my friends and I decided to go and watch Charlie Daniels again this year. Of course, we were late getting there...again. :/ BUT we had so much fun! All six of us piled in to my roommates car and headed to Hot Springs. Once we got there, we ran in to some other people and I got to see my cousin and some of our friends from school. Lauren and I love each other! (: <3
The first picture is Lauren and me and the other one is Jancey, Sara, me, Lauren, Jessica, Leah and Kathryn.
I made everyone take pictures last night and a lot of them turned out a little interesting! Ha ha I'm so glad I brought my nice camera this year because my pictures aren't blurry and you can actually tell who is in them.
These two pictures are of Beau and me
The first picture is me, Sara and Jancey.
The second picture is Paul, Beau, Pepp and me.
The third picture is of me and Pepp.
The last picture is of all of us.
Charlie Daniels is EXCELLENT in concert. Everyone should go see him at least once!!!!
