HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

This past weekend, the WHOLE family went to Enid to see Matt and Emilee! It was a special weekend because, not only was it Matt and Emilee's anniversary, but it was Erin and David's as well! Presh!! :) Anywho, Saturday we all went to the Air Force base and got a tour from Matt! And as you can see, Mackenzie was ready to go!Me and Christopher on the way to the base:

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!! (and room update)

To start off this post, I'll just include a picture of my lovely roommate, Maranda, and I on Monday night! :)

Anywho, we got our living room somewhat fixed! Ha ha we're still lacking in the decorations area but it's still a work in progress! :)
Monday night, on our way back from Hot Springs, we stopped at Wal-Mart where I purchased some lovely flowers to display in our living room! Aren't they pretty?! :)
Today was the first day of school and it was just glorious. :|

First, I woke up at 5:26 a.m. and could NOT go back to sleep to save my life. Once 6:40 rolled around, I just decided to get up and go ahead and get ready. After I got ready, I went to the caf to eat. There, I ran in to my LOVELY cousin Abby who was experiencing her last first day of college and it was bittersweet!

After breakfast, I headed to Contemporary World with Hal Bass. and since I was paying so much attention this morning, I went to the wrong class...in the wrong building! Lol I have such good luck! :/

The rest of my day went pretty well. Nothing quite as exciting as being lost on campus as a junior! Ha ha I did however get oodles of homework, complements of Nancy and Carol :/

Anywho, TIME FOR SLEEP!!!! I have my second day of school tomorrow!! Blahhhhhhh

ROBBERY!!!! hahaha

It's the morning of Tuesday, August 24 and I'm sitting at work. I'm watching the clock go by so slooooooow. It's registration day on campus and my time to go is at 10:30. However, I don't get to leave work until 11:00. At 10:15ish, my roommate sends me a text message telling me that I'm missing out on all the excitment going on on campus. "There are cops after someone because they were just flyin through campus." Well, at 10:40, Blair's mom (Blair works in the office with me) calls to tell us that US Bank has been robbed. A few minutes later, I find out that the robbers have not only fled through campus, but they're on OBU's campus!!!!!! The whole campus is put on lockdown, all the doors are locked, no one is to be outside, etc. ALL of Arkadelphia's police force, OBU workers (or my dad anyway), Arkadelphia Fire Dept. AND Gurdon's k9 unit is on the hunt.
Two of the robbers have been caught and one is still trying to run. He runs down to the ravine behind OC Bailey and Anthony dorms and in to the ravine where he "runs" for like, 2 hours. Campus is super still. Everyone is either in their dorm room, cafeteria, or offices. And the cops are still after the robber with their shotguns. Yes, I didn't say rifles or pistols. But shotguns. Remember, we are in the south.
At around 12:30 or so, the police officers FINALLY caught the third robber and our town is safe yet again. Man! What a way to start off the school year right?! Welcome to the delph Freshmen! :)

Moving!!!!!

Well, today was the day that I FINALLY got all my stuff moved to my dorm room...I think anyway! Ha ha I have so much more space this year that I just don't know what to do with anything! :/ Anywho, I just thought I'd give everyone a little peek in to my new living arrangements! Keep in mind though, that only me and one of my suitemates have moved in so far so we're still missing two peoples' stuff! Lol

I've got this weird collection of magnets, if you can't tell. Every city that I go to, I try to get a magnet. Well, considering I went to a TON of cities while I was in Austria, I actually got more than enough magnets to decorate my fridge with...along with my New Moon magnets that me and Emilee bought :)

If you look out the window in our living room, you get a really pretty view of the courtyard area of the Village.
It's pretty isn't it?! :) You can thank my dad and his workers for getting it all fixed up and purty!

This is my desk and TV area :) I have a really cute Audrey Hepburn calendar that's going to be behind my computer but I haven't gotten it put up yet.

Sister Weekend Part Dos

Well would you look at me...I've done an update two days in a row! :) He he Anywho, This is a picture I forgot to put up yesterday. It's me and Emilee on our way to Fort Smith! :)

Saturday evening I got to Erin and David's house and have just been hanging out! It's been a lot of fun! Yesterday morning, Erin and David went off to work and Mackenzie got to hang out at the house with her favorite aunt...me. :)
She likes to look at herself in the mirror. Probably because she knows how pretty she is...I'd say she gets that from me. ;) JK! JK

After she got done looking at her adorable self in the mirror, we went on a walk.

Funny thing about the walk though, all the streets up here look exactly the same and I actually ended up missing a turn and walked up the biggest freaking hill I've ever walked up and then had to turn around and walk back down it...without losing Mackenzie and the stroller...which were pulling me down the hill. Ha ha oh well, we made it back to the house safe and sound :)
Today, Mackenzie and I have just been hanging out still. She's really getting attached to me. Sorry Em but I'm probably the favorite aunt now. :)
After Erin gets off work, I'm going to grab some food with Grant and then I'm headed back to the delph. School starts back up next week :/

Sister Weekend Part Uno

It has been about 500 degrees the past few weeks in Arkadelphia lately and I'm SSSSOOOOOO SICK OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can tell, even my cat has been having trouble with the heat. Cazo is here when I go to work in the mornings and he's here, in the same position when I get home lol

Anywho, Emilee has been hanging around a lot lately and we've been a pretty productive pair I might say. Ha ha she decided she wanted to be like the rest of us and join the cool people club and have a pretty awesome looking car! :)

Melissa had a wedding shower last weekend that we all went to and not only did she get some awesome stuff but she also looked absolutely beautiful! She makes me sick. Ha ha she also had a freaking amazing cake and we took some home with us! Lol and as you can see, me and Emilee really enjoyed it :)

Last weekend, John also to me and Emilee and my mom shopping in Little Rock. On our way home, we stopped by to see Granmolly and we got some pins for us to support Abby in the Miss Arkansas pageant...even though it was a couple of weeks ago :/ But hey, it's the thought that counts right?!

Last Tuesday, after I got off work, I drove to Fort Smith and met Emilee. From there we headed to Enid. It was a lot of fun! We just hung out, went to the pool and watched some movies. We went to see Charlie St. Cloud and it was really good! I recommend it! Lol
Also, while we were in Enid, we found out that Matt has a bit of an obsession with Twilight...

Ha ha JK! JK! We surprised him with these lovely new additions to his vehicle...which are no longer there lol :)
Anywho, I had a GREAT time with Emilee and Matt last week. Saturday night I got to Erin and Davids and have been here since! I'm babysitting Mackenzie today and tomorrow and you might could say that I'm her favorite person...behind her parents of course! :)

Melissa's Bachelorette Weekend

Last Thursday, I went to Fort Smith to stay the night with Emilee. We had an interesting time! Ha ha Melissa's bachelorette party started on Friday and we were in charge of decorations and games. SO...we went to Spencers in the mall and bought some goodies for it! Ha ha including some pretty sweet cupcake molds! We went back to her apartment and started on our cupcake-baking project! Well, considering she doesn't live in her Fort Smith apartment most of the time, she just has the essentials in there. The essentials don't include measuring cups, mixing bowls, or the things you pull stuff out of the oven with. So, we just had to improvise! Lol we used a pot for our mixing bowl, a kool-aid pitcher for our measuring cup, and socks as our hot pad things to pull our cupcakes out of the oven lol


Even with our improvisations, the cupcakes turned out MARVELOUS!! Ha ha Anyway, on Friday, we headed back down the the Arkadelphia for the party. We went to Mary Jo's house and decorated and dropped off our LOVELY snacks :) That night we hung out at the house, played games and just had a lot of fun! Saturday morning, we all woke up pretty early, got ready and then headed to the lower dam to start floating the river. It took us SIX HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we were all a little on the crispy and sensitive side by the time we got back to the house! haha


That night, we made homemade pizzas and then me and Emilee headed to the house for the night. Saturday morning we woke up early, went back to Mary Jo's and had an AMAZING breakfast! Bacon, eggs, biscuits and cocoa gravy. It was absolutely amazing and was a GREAT way to end a really fun weekend! :)
